Find out what Harrowden Turf Ltd will be showcasing at the Landscape 2017 exhibition.
The team at Harrowden Turf are very pleased to be exhibiting at the Landscape show in Battersea again this year.
Headed up by Kevin Harden who will be ably supported by Mark Cockburn and Chris Carr, stand D3 will be showing off the very best of our products.
One of the main points of interest for this summer has been the changes to our Cottage Garden Meadowmat seedmix.
Cottage Garden Meadowmat was introduced in 2015. Unlike the other four Meadowmat plant mixes, Cottage Garden contains a small proportion of non-native plants. This landscaping product is easy to use, pollinator friendly and emulates a traditional English country garden.
The product has seen unprecedented success but Production Manager Robert Allen is forever striving for perfection and has made some modifications
2017’s seed mix for Cottage Garden Meadowmat contains only 5% (by weight) grasses. At 95%, that’s the highest ever proportion of flowering plants for any variety of Meadowmat. Grasses are an essential component of Meadowmat. Not only for the benefits they bring to wildlife, but because their root system is what holds the mats together for transportation and installation. This low percentage of grass makes the mats incredibly floral without losing their robust handling properties.
Also on the Harrowden stand at Landscape, we will be joined by Angela Lambert aka @Ladylawn. Angela will be available to answer any questions you may have on establishing and maintaining wildflower areas and on managing client expectations.
Those of you who know Harrowden Turf well will remember Angela. She worked for Harrowden Turf (then Q Lawns) for 20 years before beginning a freelance career in Marketing. However she has stayed in close contact with colleagues and frequently contributes helpful blogs and articles. Her involvement with the development of Enviromat and Meadowmat makes her the ideal person to support Kevin, Mark, and Chris at the show.
Angela will be on the stand from 1.30 to 3pm on Tuesday 19th September and between 11am and 2pm on Wednesday 20th September. Pop across and say “hi”. If you have a specific question you’d like answered, email Chris@Harrowdenturf.co.uk who will pass the message on.
